This week’s Behind the Diapers series highlights Hope of Baby Babu. Baby Babu provides completely degradeable and compostable disposable diapers in addition to cloth diapers.
It says on your about us page that “parents” run Baby Babu – What please share the name of your husband? Who does what part of the business?
My husband Joe does most of the day to day work of ordering and shipping products. I handle choosing product and product design.
Please tell us about about biodegradable diapers.
Our biodegradable diapers are made by Bambo Nature and are completely degradable and compostable. They are made without any petroleum products, which creates the most hypoallergenic diaper available. We are also working on our own biodegradable product line which should launch around early August. Stay tuned for this as it will be a very exciting addition to our product line.
What is unique about your business?
We feel Baby Babu is unique in that we provide a complete range of cloth diapering products that are as good or better than the big name cloth diapering companies, but at a lower price and with great customer service.
What inspired you to start up Baby Babu?
We felt like we wanted to make a difference in the environment by helping to cut down on non-degradable, traditional disposable diaper usage through promotion of affordable cloth and degradable diapering options.
As parents and business owners, how do you balance family and business?
It’s not easy balancing family life and business, but we do our best by brining our kids to the office frequently.
